Hello, again, Room 16 families! I apologize for the long gap between posts. A snapshot into our current goings on...
Writer's Workshop- We've been working on writing reviews and persuading. This will continue to be our focus until February break.
Reader's Workshop- We have begun partner reading, and we are delving into how readers talk about books.
Math- We have moved on from geometry to focusing on number sense with numbers to 100.
Science- We are in our life sciences unit, where we study plants and habitats.
Social Studies- We are studying American symbols and landmarks. We will culminate this unit with a Celebrate Freedom performance on February 13th!
We made groundhog puppets today to go with our Groundhog Day poem...
I'm a little groundhog, furry and round
You may see me POP out of the ground
If I see my shadow, down I'll stay
